We took our first bike trip of the year yesterday on the Katy Trail. Starting at Clinton and turning around somewhere between Calhoun and Windsor. It was a gorgeous day yesterday. Beautiful blue skies. Temperatures perfect….starting in the low 60s and ending in the low 80s. We’ve been on this portion of the Katy Trail before and it is considered one of the more challenging portions of the trail. It seems uphill both ways and it is not difficult but there are very long slight grades. It feels more uphill than down and occasionally, you will have a moment to coast. I really enjoy the scenery on this part of the trail. It is mostly pastures, but it is gorgeous. There are plenty of benches if you need a moment to relax. There are several creeks and plenty of rolling green pastures to enjoy as you bike by. We last visited this part of the Katy Trail in the fall. It’s a really nice ride, and the trail is in great shape. Happy Trails!
