If you haven’t heard of this terrible disease, watch out for it! It is terrible. I have had this disease now for about 2 months…. ever since our trip to the Smokies and being on the Appalachian Trail. The symptoms are difficulty in concentrating on everyday meaningless tasks. Constant drifting off. Purchasing books, reading, researching gear, maps, trails, weather. You may also experience constant longing to be in the woods . The only remedy is more hiking! Alas, will I ever be able to let go of this overwhelming desire to be a thru hiker on the Appalachian Trail? Is that the only cure? I spend countless hours calculating how to quit my job and go for it. Anyway, in the meantime check back soon for my latest attempt at treating this disease! Happy Trails!
