Beautiful weather yesterday for a hike. This was my 2nd trip to Truman Lake Mountain Bike Park. This is a very popular place for bikes…lesser so for hiking but it has a nice choice of trails that constantly intersect-perfect for changing your path so it seems new every time. I got 8 miles in (getting started on my #100momiles). I had hoped to get 10, but I was hiking solo and promised Mike I would be home around 3. I might have achieved 10 had I not stopped so many times to enjoy the daffodils I found, taking pics of the new green grass, or sitting by the lake. This is a great place to go to do a practice run with a full pack before a long hike, get out and stretch your legs, etc. Expect heavy bike traffic in good weather. I would check the website for this park before heading there to make sure there are no special events prior. They do several bike races here. One is set for early April. Spring is here….even though we have snow on the ground this morning and more coming tomorrow but one day of spring was wonderful!
